More pictures from camping

Kimmie sent me some pics that I wanted to include

Anna, Jada, Bryce, Porter, Me, Kawika, Donovan, Justin, Ma, Pa, Austin
Missing;Kim(taking shot), Sam and Israel(causing trouble)

Kim, not me

Any pictures of Kawika are probably him eating, begging for food, or being happy that there is food IN his belly.

Any pictures of Israel have to something to do with head trauma and our amazing crew of super gluers...I'm such a fan now.(Superglue fell off 1 week later it looks wonderful!)

The rest are just some fun times.. like when the adults were WAY more into Crawdad hunting than the kids. Or like when we went for a hike to find the lake but never found it...with a fat baby on my back...at least Beck let me use her amazing backpack, can't imagine carrying him without it.

Woods Canyon Lake

We went camping Friday and Saturday with my parents and Sam, brother Justin, brother Bryce's family, and sister Kim and her husband. We had a great time. I only took pictures once when we went to the lake to catch crawdads. Kimmie took some more pictures and when I get those I'll post them and those will help explain what happens when Israel's head meets a dutch oven. All I can say is thank goodness for Justin and his Super Glue...but in the same breath I would like to curse him for carving the boys stick knifes....thank you Justin

Camping @ the Rim

Unfortunately we have no pictures to prove it, but we did go camping Friday and Saturday up at the Rim. We went with some friends from our old ward, the Halls and Stubbs. They had trailers so it was nice when we needed to go potty or if the kids wanted to watch a movie. We had 2 tents. That was the kids idea, they really wanted to sleep in their own tent and I thought it was a great idea. They did really well for the most part. Israel had a bad dream, and then they both woke up @ one point wanting to get up and get dressed when it was still pitch black. I just told them that it was still night and they better go back to sleep or we would leave first thing in the morning... and they were out!

It was a lot of fun just sitting around on lawn chairs, freaking out that Kawika would fall in the fire, going for a nature walk, catching bugs, smelling rain, and not wearing make up. I know I'm a freak and I always feel so much cleaner when there's nothing on my face, even if I am all dirty camping. Now, I don't think I LOOK better, I just like to feel clean. And I'm also with Becky on that I would rather walk around barefoot camping then on hotel carpet....except there were a LOT of ants where we camped and that could have freaked my feet out.

Unfortunately we didn't camp over Saturday night because when we went to get into bed we realized that the tent fly hadn't been put down all the way and my sleeping bag was soaked. So @ 9:30 we decided we may as well head home and by 10:30 we were on our way out. We got home @ 1:00 & in bed by 2:00. Not too bad considering we were going to try to get out of there by 7:30 on Sunday.

If you have read all this then good for you. If not, I don't blame you...kind of long.
AFTERTHOUGHT....I TOTALLY THOUGHT THAT I INCLUDED A WHOLE SENTENCE TO THE FACT THAT KIMMY AND AUSTIN CAMPED FRIDAY NIGHT WITH US!!!! I SWEAR THAT WAS IN THERE. SORRY KIMMY, IT WAS FUN SETTING UP CAMP WITH YOU AND WATCHING AUSTIN CLIMB A STRAIGHT TREE SO WE COULD HAVE A NICE TARP CANAPE!!!!

Havasupai

Here's just a couple pictures of Donovan's trip with the youth down to Havasupai a few weeks ago. It was while he was gone that I painted the kitchen...and no I haven't finished the bottom cupboards yet.

Donovan LOVES the youth, and luckily they love him back. We both feel like we are still right there on their level and it kind of freaks us out when we realize we have kids...yeah, weird.

There are some way better pictures of him then this, but they are taken by other cameras, his battery died after only 4 pics. Someone even has video of him being pushed into the falls and then one of the boys giving him a wedgie or something.

Okay, so I thought we had a picture with Donovan in it, but here's one of our youth. I get to work with these YW and Donovan got to work w/ JJ when he was YM president. They are amazing youth! LOVE THEM (and this not the best shot of any of them)

This is the LDS church building at the bottom of the canyon.

This is what we did to his van.

It's important to teach your children vandalism at a young age...proper technique can be mastered so young.
