Happy Veterans day!

To my dad and all those who have served or still do, THANK YOU from the Seguritan family. We love you and pray for you and your families.

Jada's school did an awesome job at honoring these heroes at an assembly this last Friday. It was really neat. And Jada LOVED that my dad took her invitation seriously and came down to join her.

The Vets received a celebrity's welcome as the children reached out their hands to touch these heroes. It made me a little emotional to watch.

Jada was proud to sit next to grandpa in front of everyone. They even had the students introduce their relatives. The students learned each branches song and sang it for them after their branch was introduced. Jada was very helpful to her class has she was the only one who knew all the hand motions they were taught and so they could watch her as she did them from stage.

I forget the name of the closing song, but I do remember feeling very proud to live in this country as everyone stood without being asked to show their patriotism. This too brought on emotion. Just a great experience, I'm glad dad could come.

Dad loved this experience with Jada. He has talked of it several times and even shed a tear while bearing his testimony about it and his love for our country. Glad you guys were able to get him down there for this event. We are planning to make him a grilled cheese sandwich on Veteran's Day--if he doesn't have a better offer.

Oh, and tell Donovan thanks for the nice comment on our blog :)

Ditto to what Becky said. Too often veterans don't have appreciation expressed to them. I was able to attend a Montrose Reunion last year, that is the ship Leigh served on. It was a wonderful time and filled with patriotism and appreciation for time served in the behalf of our country. I salute all the military. God Bless them.
