Wednesday night was our ward Trunk-R-Treat party. The kids had a blast and dressed up as Barbie the Island Princess, Clifford, and the Red Power Ranger. Yes they have been wearing their costumes for the past year, but it is much cheaper to buy them after Halloween. In fact, we are getting ready to buy next year's dress up costume tomorrow.
And yes, Donovan and I were these same things last year. And YES, the kids decided Halloween morning that they were finally sick of their costumes and wanted to go as, a "Hawaiian Girl", the Karate Kid, and some sort of army guy (he held a gun when it was important!)
So basically we just rolled with whatever this year. We didn't try to get a ton of houses like years past, and it was much more enjoyable. And as always we came home, picked out the junk candy and left it on our doorstep with a sign that said, "take all you want", and the next morning it was gone! HURRAY!

That is awesome about the junk candy! I bring mine to work and it always gets eaten in the middle of the night. Your kiddos are so dang cute!
that's such a great idea about the extra candy...we usually just throw ours away...did you buy your costumes for next year yet?
My Halloween was rather quiet. Of course, when you live at the end of a dark and rather lengthy drive way, there just aren't many takers. Glad your family had a great time. Love you and good luck at the boutique thing on Saturday.
